This beauty was spotted near Triangle off the Bachman Grade road in May. This area is in extreme SW Idaho in a high desert region at about 3000 feet elevation.

I'm about 5 feet away- depending on the snakes temperment I will pick them up with a stick at times. Like most wild animals 99% of the time, they give you warning and will attempt to flee.

Even if it makes me cringe!!! Snakes freak the hell out of me.
