Butterflies Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) - down - and European Peacock (Inachis io) - up - seen at saddle Medvedia hlava (903 m) in Slovak paradise national park in august 2007.

All kinds of butterflies in Slovak paradise were known by Dr. Andrej Reiprich (1912 - 2002), a well known entomologist and lepideptogist devoted his live-long research to collect the knowledge about butterflies in Slovakia and especially in Slovak paradise national park.
