Island Mountain (8140') is located in the southeast corner of Strawberry Reservoir. Rainbow Point is sitting in front of it. This is the last little strip of land before the ice. It's only .47 miles across the water to Rainbow Point. This picture was taken due west of the SW corner of Rainbow Point. February-12-2013

Mind-blower ..

Must have visited Strawberry one thousand times
as a kid, but never in winter.

This picture is making me snow-blind.

I had driven by Strawberry several times but had never visited until this past fall. This winter I've gone on 4 trips out there, 3 of them involving skiing on the ice, the longest stretch being over 4 miles.
