| Nice hike and great views on E side of Crystal Range with quite a bit of snow still lingering from previous week's storm. Pretty windy but it only made it bearable; very hot when calm. | |

| Solo day-hiked up from Horsetail Falls, across a mostly dry Lake Aloha, and up class 3 granite to high point 1/2 south of summit. Had an enjoyable traverse along the ridge to summit. Went down via Mosquito pass. Car to car 8 hours. | ||

| Great scrambling up N Ridge from Dicks Peak. Mostly class 2 with a move or two of class 3 from the notch. Nobody on summit and only encountered one person on Dicks. Great view of all of Desolation. | |

| Dayhike from Glen Alpine TH. After climbing Mt. Tallac traversed the ridge to Dicks Pk. Continued on to Jacks Pk and then Pyramid Pk before returning to the car which made for a very long day in a great area which I hadn't visited yet. Some Photos. | |
