Kelowna Fire 2003

In August 2003, this fire burned nearly 250 homes in Kelowna BC and forced the evacuation of 30,000 residents. This is not my photo, but it was one floating around the internet at the time. If anyone knows who took it, please let me know so I can do an appropriate citation.

little late response to this, but I agree... specially since one of those guys started a fire just one hundred yards away from my house during those fires..

was there. Don't know who's picture it is but I have many of my own taken from my balcony on the other side of the lake. The community spirit was amazing as up to 20,000 people were evacuated for up to 2 weeks and relied on the community for billeting, etc. It was shocking to watch peoples homes literally explode into flames at times.
