Is that the haze from the copper smelter, or is a storm actually coming in ??

Hope you didn't experience too many brine flies --- I really miss the northern UT peaks/canyons and Tooele Valley area -- cool !

Thanks! It's actually a storm coming in, although the smelter does usually contribute quite a bit to the haze. The timing was actually perfect, since it was still cold enough that there were absolutely no brine flies or other bugs. Yeah, sometimes I get hung up on doing Wasatch hikes and forget some of the other great nearby areas.

Yeah, Deseret Peak (above Grantsville) always
comes to my mind. There's nothing like
taking the youngsters up to South Willow Lake
on a warm summer day !! --- good luck !!
