Thanks. I also like the area very much. Ten years ago I saw the picture with the lake in an old magazine, and then hardly waited to arrive to this place, and it really is magnificient and so tranquile.
I'm from Serbia and really am sorry because we don't have such a nice presentation of any of our mountains. Very small number of our mountaineers have ever been in Kucka Krajina - perhaps that's the reason why is there so beautiful and the nature not spoiled.
I've been last and the year before last in Kucka Krajina, (2 x 1 week) and haven't got enough time to explore everything.... It' was really unbeliveable! Some text http://www.klubvg.org/kuckepl2003/tura.htm and photos http://www.klubvg.org/kuckepl2003/galerija.htm
It was not so easy to write about Kucka krajina because there is also a lack of good literature, but I still have to do more on the page and Im only on half way - Still some panoramic photo to put, also interactive map, some stories on highlights there and separate pages for major mountains/groups.
I have had prepared a page on Komovi also, but have agreed with Vlado Vujisich that he will do that because he has family origins there, and I will contribute to his page with more nice photos.
About Kucka krajina, you are welcome to contribute with anything you find it usefull, including suggestions, corrections, additions, ideas, stories, photos.
Especcially with corrections because I would like to be precise, an I may sometime make mistake also. As you are maybe aware, when studying literature on Kucka krajina Ive found lot of contradictory information from different writers. So sometimes I have to analyse them and get to conclusion hoping I was right.
I still have problems with defining borders of Krajina group (especially western ones) because the group got its name from Kuchi klan, but geomorphologically the group spreads even over Mala rijeka to Moraca, but that is already a Bratonozics´territory, so can I include that area under Kuchka...? and the quiestions like that!
Thanks for your link. Ive already seen your page and have it saved on my PC for some time (few months ago!). When writing SP page on Kucka krajina, by the rules of the page, I had to be carefull and take care about others copyrights, including using information from other people, web sites, copyrighted maps etc.
Since I still have 3 weeks of unused holiday from 2004. i plan to visit Krajina again, probably in june/late may, then I will probably pick up more info. And my summer holidays also (august) will for sure include Montenegro (maybe even Albanian Alps).
I like Summit post page because it is very serious one, probably one of the best in the field. I hope also to see more from your sides, especially Dinaric mountains - that I really like (like Zlatibor, Tara mountain, etc., they must be nice too!)
Great page and pics! Never found any info of this mountain group before, you're doing a wonderful job showing this forgotten place. Been to Prokletije this year, hope I get to Kucka someday too. Wish I had more time to explore the Balkan mountains...
Thank you very much for your nice word and your vote too!
Meanwhile I am preparing 3-4 more pages on mountains in Kucka krajina, that are nice too like (Surdup and Maglic(Kucki) - you can see them already at SP).
I am also preparing a common page about Dinaric Alps, which is a tough job to do.
