Winters in the ParkIt is picturesque to see snow on the Arches sandstone. It took little kids to point out how the rock is rusty brown driving in after sunny days and the frozen north driving out in winter. A neat dichotomous Arches National Park in winter. No wonder photographers find their way to Moab in winter.

Re: Winters in the ParkWe spent only three days in the Arches, and that was right after a big snowstorm. I have hundreds of photos of the Devil's Garden area with a lot more snow on the rocks and the landscape. Moab area is very special, nice people and beautiful country.

Re: Winters in the ParkHello,
I was hoping you might remember the exact location you took this shot, because I took the same photo from the same spot, and I was goofy enough to not write or remember the spot that this shot was from!!
Was this from a specific landmark spot, meaning was it from one of the places to visit on the map in arches??
Your assistance would be very helpful! I am making cards of my photos, but I can't remember where this was taken, and I prefer to get the actual location name! Thanks!

Re: Winters in the ParkHello SBBear,
I believe I took this photo in December of 2008. It has been several years since I was there and my memory is pretty foggy about different locations.
Going back to my original files, it seems that I took this shot from the first pullout on the left hand side. I forget the name of the pullout, but it was something like "New York, or Wall street." If I find the actual name I will gladly write you again.
Marc
