Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho This 25 mile long lake has over 109 miles of shoreline, is an average of 120 feet deep and ranges from 1 to 3 miles in width. Fed by two rivers and surrounded by foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains this beautiful lake is less than one hour from Spokane, Washington. In 2005 I had the chilly pleasure of jumping into the lake several times close to shore and can tell you from personal experience that even in late July this lake is VERY, VERY COLD!

Nice shots

Nice shots of the lake. I live in CDA and just stumbled on to these pics. U get used to the cold water after while and if u think this lake is cold, next time u r up here try to jump in Pend Orelle lake up by Sandpoint, ID its one of the deepest lakes in North America and very cold all year long. It is also a beautiful lake and much larger than Lake CDA.

Re: Nice shots

I've heard stories about Pend Orelle being so cold! If you have some pictures you should post them! Thanks for the compliment too!

Re: Kathy ...

Larry, no sighting of Susquatch or King Kong or anyone else in the 'hairy' family!

I did see deer, a huge black snake and a rattler last week at camp (no pictures though!). I'll get some pictures of the beautiful Virginia mountains and lake up later this month.

Re: Kathy ...

Looking forward to that.

Virginia is very under-rated on SP !!!
