Howdy folks. I will try to make the best of my current situation. As of tonight I damaged my foot. It will be a while before I can get back into mountain climbing. Fortunately I did it in my favorite game of all times. This will slow down the trip report a little at first, but I hope to be on a roll for posting things now that I can't get out. I got my last dose of adventure yesterday when I plowed for hours in nee deep/ waist deep snow. I learned my lesson tonight about playing it dangerous and encourage folks to be safe. Happy Holidays!
Today I had an x-ray which turned out much better than expected. Overnight my foot got a lot better (last night it looked awful). So perhaps in 3-4 weeks I might be able to have fun again. So it's nothing serious according to the doctor. I'm very pleased about this!
"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and diffrent sun."
