Longfellow Peak

Longfellow Peak

Snowy Longfellow Peak looms far in the distance, as viewed from the high ridgetop route known as the Skyline Experience. The pointed tan summit in the right foreground is the false summit of Mount Grinnell; follow the slender ridge to the right to reach its true summit. To the left of and in front of Longfellow is the jagged arete known as the Garden Wall. The grassy area in the immediate foreground sits high above Snow Moon Basin, and the preferred route up massive Allen Mountain crosses this gorgeous terrain. August 4, 2008

Question....

I'm not familiar with this perspective; is the tan point at far right (touching the cloud) Mt. Grinnell's summit?

correct

this photo is from somewhere near the summit of Wynn Mountain... and now that i look at this photo closer, i'm pretty sure that's Longfellow Peak, not Heaven's, in the far distance.
