I have to admit to having mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, this is hands down the most useful resource I've seen online (or anywhere) for the Lost Coast--it's a truly superb page, one of the best I've seen on SP. On the other, I'd worry a bit that others would take this example as a license to dilute the site with other random hiking pages, but do a far poorer job of it. Maybe that's just a problem for the elves to deal with, much as for any half-assed peak pages. Hopefully, anyone who does follow your example will put as much time and effort into their pages as you do yours.
Having said all that, I have a couple of small questions/suggestions to incorporate:
(1) When's the best time of year to hike the Lost Coast? Is it a reasonable undertaking in winter/spring, or is it pretty much cold, damp, and miserable at this time of year?
(2) Do you know how much the shuttles cost? Transportation between trailheads seems to be the major logistical difficulty in organising the hike. Is the 24 mile distance as the crow flies, or actual road mileage? Seems like it might be bikeable, or would this be pretty brutal?
Quite a big and cool page useful to lots of folks. I added Cadillac mountain on the East Coast a couple of years ago so I agree that these coastal mountains are needed. You must have added it while I was on my trip up Mt. Borah. Could be that many people think of mountains as inland structurs, so that they set up a false dichotomy between sea and mountains.
I like it. I know there is a "conversation" about what should or should not be on SP and while I see how this could be considered "off topic," as far as mountaineering goes, I don't see how that hurts anyone. Keep up the good work. Hiking is as close to a summit as some SP folks ever get and there is nothing wrong with that. Good job. Noah
I can understand the concerns about the potential rush of inappropriate pages when people start thinking about submitting such areas. But when such area are treated as this one is here, I think they are great additions.
I hope to see more photos soon. Good to see you're working on this page. I didn't vote yet, because I know you're not finished, but I know this is going to be a great page once you're done.
The Lost Coast area has numerous summits, among them Shubrick Peak and King Peak. In time, I believe this page will reflect the awesome place that the Lost Coast is. Already it's moving in that direction. Sorry I don't have photos to post, my memories of my travels there are nothing but treasures. Good work!
Thanks for the encouragement guys. I need to stop climbing and hiking so much and work on this page. I promise I will... just gotta do it! Thanks again.

Untitled CommentNot sure why my last vote disappeared, so I'll resubmit what I think this is worth.
Good page, but I don't see much in the way of summits.
