Great views
Road to Dog Canyon was out in March 2018, so we summited on the way back from Dog Canyon to Pine Springs as part of a backpacking loop. From the Tejas Trail, just turn uphill when you see the sign. Great views in all directions.

Lost Peak
Climbed up from Dog Canyon. There was a recent flood in Guadalupes and the Salt Flats to the west were filled with water. Awesome!

Lost Peak
Hiked to Lost Peak via the Tejas Trail. The fall colors were very nice during this time. I remember the drive to get to the trailhead taking a while.

Via the Tejas Trail
I really enjoyed the northern end of this park. The drive to the Dog Canyon TH on NM 137 is enjoyable, as well. I was a bit surprised to see the giant cairn on Lost Peak after visiting several peaks in the park with little or no cairns.
