Alpenglow on the Matterhorn

This is another photo of the few I managed to take on this years completely unsuccessful trip to the Alps (I got ill and didn't climb a thing). I managed to go for a few walks in and around Zermatt and thats it, got a few photos of the Matterhorn though. Another one can be found HERE (July 2007).

The only time I was this mountain was from a plane from Rome to Paris. I really have to visit it one day... and maybe climb it !

Unfortunately on this trip I didn't manage to climb anything, I caught some sort of bug or food poisoning in Geneva the day before, and by the time I arrived in Zermatt I was really ill. Spent my entire time there trying to get better, but just wasn't strong enough to climb anything in the end. Ah well there's always next year... Cheers Dan
