Yes, weather is quite warm during last 10 days. Daily temps go to 14-15°C, night temps are between 7-10°C here in Zadar. It has been so cold for such a long time and now suddenly spring! Almost meter of snow has melted on Velebit during last 10 days which is too much for this part of year. Still meter left to melt. But it will snow again, it's not over yet with winter fun up there, at least I hope :-)
Sasha, another absolutely excellent page! I can only repeat what the others have already said. And yes, your pictures are alway stunning. You could fill a decade of calendars with them and still leave out worthy ones!
As a new member who has enough material to open some new pages on new mountains I can be just discouraged because your standards are put to the highest levels! Like the rest of your work Ive seen already!
And your Velebit collection is A-class.
By the way if you had not taken a nick Velebit previously, I would for sure do it, because of my adoration to that mountain, too!
Thanks Gordan very much for all the compliments! Don't be discouraged, I'm looking forward to your first page about some of amazing Dinaric mountains. I don't like to talk about it much but I'll tell you that I fell in love with Velebit and mountains in general as a kid and since than Velebit has been a part of my life, my biggest love. Even before I was 10 years old I realized that Velebit wasn't properly covered in any book and since then I've been dreaming to write my own Velebit book which is now nearly done. Also my wish was to present Velebit properly on the internet. First I wanted to make my own web site but that was delayed all the time because web space is expensive, especially it was few years ago, and I need(ed) lot of space. Then, some 3 years ago, I've found SP, liked the layout of the site and because it was free I began to realize it here. Still around 5 pages to go and I'll cover Velebit completely here. Also I'm planning to put up the page of Ozeblin soon.
What about Gorski Kotar? Would you like to make some pages about any mountain there? Snjeznik, Risnjak, Bjelolasica, Klek, Samarske & Bijele Stijene...many mountains aren't covered. Did you plan to make any pages about Bosnian, Montenegrin, Serbian or Albanian mountains?
