Morning light on Silvrettahorn, Schneeglocke and Schattenspitze

There were lots of mornings like this during my trip to the Alps this summer, but it was a different matter to happen upon a calm body of water at the right time and the right place. In this case, conveniently next to the trail. Mind you, we had passed the same spot the previous afternoon, so I already knew there might be an opportunity...

Frankly, I wasn't out and about this early very often though: I would either still be sleeping or having breakfast. I only did a few alpine starts.
