Morning over Chisos Basin

The Pinnacles Trail route up Emory Peak climbs up the east side of the basin. That's very nice in the desert, since you are in the shade all morning. It also means that you get nice light off the west side of the basin, as in this pano. The long mountain dominating the western basin is Vernon Bailey. January 2010.
