| The ski resort was closed so I parked across the road at the ski park and then hiked up the Mt. Bachelor Trail. It is a really nice trail until it gets near the top of the ski lift and then is a little rockier. 2 hr. 35 min. car to car. This was my second summit today, after doing South Sister in the morning. | |

| After bailing on some other plans (North Sister being Plan A) we finally settled for a simple trip up Bachelor. Friend with skins and me on slowshoes. Left parking lot at 5:05, summited at 7:20. I snowboarded down, my friend telemarked. Great sunny day! | |

| Robbin and I did the south ridge of South Sister from Devil's Lake and afterward we had some energy left over so we drove across the street and did Mount Bachelor too. Over 7600 feet of vertical gain in a day. Not bad. Coming down from Bachelor I dropped about 1800 feet in 15 minutes with one long standing glissade. | |

| Ascended via the trail from Sunrise Lodge. The trail is easy for the average hiker. The summit was dusted in the seasons first snowfall. There was also about four inches of rime ice. We descended via the ridge along the westside of the glacier / snowfield. This route is difficult with lots of rocks to negotiate. It is also a lot steeper. We crossed a couple snowfields on the way down. | |

| Climbed this on the spur-of-the moment with my future son-in-law with only some cross-training types of shoes, shorts and tee-shirts. Great weather, views and the mountain to ourselves. Took a little searching and scrambling to find the Summit Lift trail but once we did about 1/2 way up the Summit Lift route, it was quicker and easier heading up. This was a nice walk after Adams a couple of weeks ago. | |

| Wasn't sure where the trail started, so I walked up the Pine Martin maintenance road and scrambled up the ridge to the north of the skyliners lift, really a pretty enjoyable route with a little bouldering and minimal scree. Found the trail once I reached the summit and used it to descend, WAY to many switchbacks! Glad I didnt come up that way, skyliner ridge highly recommended. | |
