Mount Cardwell plaque

Mount Cardwell plaque

it is the highest mountain all right, but not the highest county point. The latter is a "liner" maybe a mile further to the North. 4/22/07, photo by Rob.

Interesting

I will have to hike to both of them now just to make sure I make it to highest county and mountain.

Highest point vs. highest mtn

What's most interesting for me is that I never heard about such a distinction being made anywhere else. I just don't know if the Wasatch county situation is a fluke, or if there are other people who don't like the "liner" highpoints on the slopes somewhere.
Both points on Cardie's are easy to get in one very short nice summer hike. Not quite so in winter :)
