| I've climbed this one at least 3 times. Great views of Crater Lake and there are usually other hikers to socialize with. | ||

| highest point in Crater Lake National Park; after finishing Thielsen earlier in the afternoon, we checked out the NP and were hoping for a nice view from Mt. Scott- unfortunately wildfires burning inside the park made everything smokey and there were no clear views. that together with the fact the trail is dusty and dry made it debatable whether or not it was worth it to hike to the top. | ||

| 395guy | relaxing on the peak after the marathon ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 12, 2006 | |
| After running the Crater Lake Marathon in the morning, I changed clothes and hiked up Mt Scott to eat some lunch. I just couldn't resist seeing the park (and much of the marathon course, including the highpoint of the course at Cloud Cap) from the highest peak in the park. BTW, the marathon was great. I finished 6th overall in 3:27:02. We had perfect weather (cloudless skies; 40 and breezy at the start; 60s and sunny at the finish). If you're a runner, I highly recommend running either the 6.7-mile, 13-mile, or full marathon races here at Crater Lake on the second Saturday of August. Tough courses, but what a great place to run. | ||

| My husband and I and my two older children climbed this. My son was 13 and daughter 10, we made it to the top with a lot of complaining about it being "so far" but then all liked the views very much. | ||

| It was my third peak this day in the park. I had ascended hillman peak for the rim high point, garfield peak as a little warm up for Mt scott. I believe I ascended in fifty minutes. It was plenty fast for me. I did however come across a few joggers/ultra marathoners. The views from the summit are awsome of the lake. The klamath country to the south is very nice. the distant views a bit hazy. | ||

| My wife and I were camping out at Mazama Village because this was the week of the Persied (I hope I spelled that right) Meteor showers. This particular peak had been eating at me. I very much love to take pictures and I heard it had a great view of Crater Lake. I was not disappointed, the view was gorgeous. I was almost able to fit the whole view of the lake into my normal camera viewfinder but not quite, luckily I brought my Wide angle. Total time up and down, 2 hours. Definately a great peak for catching the sunset over Crater Lake. Enjoyed it thoroughly! | ||

| This peak was interesting because it is the 22nd most topographically prominent peak in Oregon, with 3,018+ feet of prominence. It was an Oregon "50 Finest" weekend, with three on Saturday and two more on Sunday, Mt. Scott and Mt. Bailey. Up in 53 minutes. | ||

| This was a great ski trip with excellent weather and views. Skined up the south east ridge until it met the flat summit ridge. The SE ridge kept getting steeper until we had to carry our skis the final pitch over rocks and trees. The snow was soft enough to have a great ski down the east face through trees and finally the Scott creek drainage back to camp. | ||

| Climbed and skied with a group of Chemeketans. There was snow all the way down to the 4500' level, so we started by first carrying our skis, then skinning to a camp at 6200'. The next morning we left the road and headed towards the ridge, eventually meeting up with the S. ridge which we followed to the summit. Interesting summit ridge and incredible views of Crater Lake on a beautiful warm day. Great spring skiing down the east face where we followed an avalanche runout into the woods, generally following Scott Creek until meeting up again with the road. | ||
