| It was teaming with tourists, a jeep road, and very easy, but this was extremely rewarding for me because my 6 year old son did this hike with me and made it to the top. This was his first real mountain summit and we saw about 50 bighorn along the road that were very tame. | ||

| MoabPeakBagger | barely worth it ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 19, 2004 | |
| the hike was on a road, there were tame bighorn along the way, and it was crawling with tourists. It only took an hour or two, but it was barely worth it. | ||

| Yellowstone is fantastic. If your time is limited in Yellowstone, I highly suggest other points of interest unique to the Park. Still, a fun and easy hike - though as a fat elementary kid, I remember struggling a little. (Then again, I think I was expressing to my folks that I'd rather be on a roller coaster. C'est l'vie.) Don't recall the exact date, may even have the year mixed up... We hiked up a jeep road up the backside, then found as we looped down the singletrack back to the cars that a better, more beautiful trail was to be had. Bummer I suppose, but still very gorgeous. Attempted Lake Solitude in the Tetons on the same trip, but it was not to be for this fat kid; success was not seen there until the slimmer days of high school. | ||

| This was a fun little hike at the end of a long day of exploring. I went up with my dad and brother. This really was the easiest climb I have ever done, but very enjoyable and relaxing! | ||

| bpv_UW | Evening Stroll ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 19, 2005 | |
| Leisurely evening walk-up with my brother after summitting Avalanche Peak earlier in the day. Beautiful views from the top, almost complete solitude (rare for this peak) and a great sunset. Well worth the trip. | ||

| dandrew | Good View of Yellowstone ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 22, 2006 | |
| Hiked up from Dunraven Pass in the early morning. Besides the overgrown marmots, we saw plenty of bighorn sheep as well as a fox. The views were great, but it was a little hazy due to forest fires. | ||

| 9/30/06 - Climbed via the Dunraven Pass route. A nice day but the summit views were obscured by smoke from a fire. Also climbed twice as a kid on family vacations, both times via the Chittenden Road route. | ||

| TiogaBradford | No bears ![]() | |
| Hiked this peak with my brothers and parents on my first trip out west. I remember it being fairly easy, but having a great view. We were hoping to see a grizzly (maybe from the car instead of the trail), but didn't get the chance to. | ||

| Alcas24 | Interesting Route ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 28, 2004 | |
| Was working at Canyon Village and the road to Dunraven Pass was closed, so I bushwacked roughly parallel to the road towards Dunraven Peak, descended to the pass, and hiked the trail to the summit. I then descended the trail down through Washburn Hot Springs back to the Seven Mile Hole Trail, and then back to Canyon. | ||

| This was a cool little mountain experience. My sister, dad, and I made the hike in the evening. We were rushed so we set a fast pace. The views from the top were nice. Too bad we had to hurry off the mountain, otherwise we could have watched the sunset from the summit. As it turned out, I watched the sunset while hiking back down the road as fast as my legs would let me go. Take it as a recommendation from John Muir himself to make this hike and to enjoy the views! | ||

| My husband and I hiked up Washburn in the summer of 1996 or 1997. I remember the beatuful views and wildflowers. Even in August there were still patches of snow. It was my first time above 10,000 ft. | ||
