| from parker lake TH... beautiful day with some folks fr tahoe.. variable conditions SE bowl.. once down lower decided to climb some other inviting line and take a 2nd lap.. big day | ||

| From Parker Lake TH. 1st day: Hiked up Parker Creek (wasn't sure it could be done- no beta back in '81). Camped near Parker Pass trail. 2nd Day: Up and over Koip Peak, Parker Peak and finally Mt Wood. Went down a chute to the east that starts just left of the summit (looking down). Easy at first, then gets narrower and steeper as one descends. I worried about getting cliffed out and benighted, but the difficulty was never harder than class 3. Got lost at night amongst the Parker Canyon moraines and cattle trails. Arrived back at the TH at about 10:30pm. | |

| Obviously, moose tracks and cp DID NOT have their skis with them! The views during winter are fantastic and the ski runs are world class. Great day! | |
