Nevada Skipper

A tiny Nevada Skipper (Hesperia nevada) feeds on flower nectar. Spotted in a meadow below McFarland Peak in the Spring Mountains, Nevada. The habitat of these butterflies ranges from sagebrush, grasslands and aspen parks to mountain summits; from 7000 to 12,000 feet in elevation. Big eyes & beautiful...

I'll have to check out your SP album on Nevada's insects - still loving all your photos! I saw Skippers when growing up in Utah.
They were all over the wildflowers. Are you familiar with the one ENDEMIC to the Grand Canyon - the Grand Canyon Ringlet? CHEERS !!!
