Route Description

From either Vista Pass or Peak Lake, find use trails/routes to nearby Stonehammer Lake and reach the basin above. From the basin, hike and scramble NE to Stone Pillar Pass as if heading for Baby Glacier. At the top of the pass, ascend the ridge along the edge of the snowfield and continue to the summit. There are a couple steeper areas and slight detours that may involve some Class 4 moves on the ridgeline above the pass but otherwise it's straightforward and goes quickly.

Essential Gear

Full backpack gear. Axe, early season.
