Is it true that with every 100' gain of elevation from the bottom of the GC, the
accumulation of snow increases by 10 percent???

That would be like double per 1000 ft? Maybe ... I couldn't gauge accumulation, just the total (which was pretty nonexistent below 5,000 ft). But I have a feeling that the N Rim gets a lot more snow than the South Rim, despite a relatively modest difference in elevations. Even South-facing terrain on N Rim was buried, while in the Village, there wasn't that much snow even in the shadow below the Rim, and virtually none in sunny spots.
