Motley CrewActually, I'm jealous of all that sunshine. You guys deserve that brewski, but did you all have to drink out of the same bottle? (flu season fears)

Re: Motley CrewOh no! We wouldn't touch his beer. We have no idea where Klenke's mouth has been. :- P

Re: Motley CrewOkay okay, just so you don't think it's only me, Dean, I did notice that Brian & Don were gone a long time over to the north summit. And they took along the rope. I was wondering why Brian took it up the mountain and now I guess I know. When they came back they had these goofy satisfied expressions. I guess I'm glad the wind was drowning out distant noises.

Re: Motley CrewHalf of that crew have their completion maps posted here, Paul and Martin. I think it's time to get the other two maps up there too!

Re: Motley Crew Such rhetoric from the keyboard of one who aspires to be known as "Little John Roper", after Washington's ultimate in-state peak-bagger and first COHP completer??? Let me count the lists that I believe Herr Klenke aspires to: (1) Washington 100 Highest - the Bulger List, (2) Washington 2000-foot prominences, (3) Washington county highpoints, (4) US state highpoints, (5) Washington's Home Court, and (6) Washington's Back Court. Surely there must be others.
So here's the deal guys - Klenke's vulnerabilities are now being seen more clearly than ever here at SP. HE OBVIOUSLY CAN'T STAND THE COMPETITION!! He's about to be eclipsed on the Washington COHPs by Martin Shetter. Now he's afraid that Don and Brian could beat him as well since he's saving Rainier for his final peak in each of those above lists on which it resides. The door is open, gentlemen - you too can beat Little John Roper to the Washington COHP prize! GO FOR IT!!

Re: Motley CrewBrian beat Paul in Washington? Nah. Brian hasn't even done Buck Peak yet in his homestate. Why? Because Buck Peak is tough, really really tough. I tip my hat to Paul Klenke, he is the real deal and probably will beat Brian up Buck Peak (the real prize of Oregon's CoHp's) .
Actually Bob, since you've done a nice tongue in cheek summary of the lists Paul is involved with, I'm more impressed than ever. Paul may actually surpass John and if that happens, does John become "little Paul Klenke" Hmmmmm, some food for thought.

Re: Motley CrewHEY! You people are supposed to be my friends!
You know, you have the misfortune to get one disturbed gay internet stalker, and you are branded for life. I think you two may just be jealous. That's right. There. I've said it. I've always suspected that the whole marriage to Shirley was just a cover, Radek. I think I've just seen you drink one white zinfandel too many there to have it be a coincidence.

Re: Motley CrewYep, I was going to wait and work up to Buck Peak after I did a winter ascent of Rainier. You know, take things step by step.
I can't even come up with a good grocery list, I could never compete with you cohp'ers.

Re: Motley CrewGood plan Brian, Mt. Rainier is a good training climb and will help you to comprehend and deal with the complexities you'll be facing on Buck Peak. Get RPC to go along with you so he can help belay you on that last difficult pitch, the tree pitch.

Re: Motley CrewOh great, now I'll have to bring crampons and ice tools to get up that last bit then. Talk about your mixed climbs.
Dean - Mar 2, 2005 5:43 pm - Voted 10/10
Re: Motley CrewDo it in mid summer and you won't need the ice tools. Maybe mosquito repellent and some solvent to get that "tree pitch" off of your hands. If you do in summertime, watch out for smelly PCT thru hikers (stay up wind) Here's a pic of some of those you need to steer clear of.

Re: Motley CrewBut Brian, you don't NEED to compile the peak lists - they're already made!! All you need to do is put a date beside each peak! I read your summit log list, looking for some "logic" in your climbing choices, but couldn't discern any. But whatever you do, don't let us old codgers lead you astray!
