Voted 5/5 | I love my new The North Face: Dark Star. I got it on sale for $199 from Campmor.
It is a very warm bag. It is spacious enough to feel comfortable in without a lot of empty space. I have the long version which offers plenty of space to store wet clothing to dry overnight.
The external pillow pocket helps to make for a more comfortable nights sleep. | | Posted Nov 11, 2003 9:20 pm | | weeds19 | Untitled Review | |
Voted 5/5 | I used this bag on Aconcagua this past Jan/Feb and it worked perfectly. The temp never reached -40, but at high camp it was probably -15 or -20 F and I was toasty warm in this bag. This bag is so much less expensive than other 4-season bags that even if the synthetic fill loses loft after a couple years you can easily buy another one or two for the same price as a FF or WM bag. The synthetic does pack larger than down so it will take up a big portion of your pack. I great budget or wet weather bag! | | Posted May 17, 2004 11:44 pm |
