Voted 4/5 | I purchased this bag about a year ago, because I needed a very warm bag but did not want to shell out $500 to $700. It has performed very well. For $225 you get a bag that performs nearly as well as North Face and Marmot down bags in this temperature rating. The quality of the down is proabably not quite as high, but this bag has plenty of it. The exterior shell is nylon, not Gore Dryloft. It is reasonably down proof, but not waterproof. You absolutely must spray it with Nikwax before using it. If you are looking for a top of the line bag, get a Western Mountaineering, North Face, Marmot, and Mountain Hardware not this one. If you want to stay warm and get the best bang for your buck, this is your bag. | | Posted Oct 31, 2002 9:44 am |
