This Kodak 6.1 Megapixel camera with it's 10X zoom is great for photography while hiking and adventuring. It is not as expensive as and big like an SLR so it is easy to carry around. It has settings for taking pictures at night, in the snow, bright conditions, distant landscape, close-ups, light backgrounds, and much more.
