Tech Top

100% pure merino, need I say more? OK, I will anyway: thumb loops for pulling on layers over it, side panels for flex and fit, long zip collar.
Trash your "turtlneck" The tech top has a zip to cover the neck, or unzip to allow more venting/euro-style. 260g/sq.m is a perfect weight for a base layer. Can be used in conjunction with another merino layer and that's all you need under the shell/softshell. Stylish enough for casual wear or even going out to dinner.

Need a Lesson on Merino?

Odor resistant: wool is naturally antimicrobial. Throw it over the back of a chair, it's fresh by morning.
Temperature Regulating: This is the coat of an animal that can survive in just about any climate... Prevent overheating, no clammy feeling.
Durable: Quality jersey knit will last long and can take abrasion.
Machine Wash: It ain't scared. Just dry carefully.

Merino is superior to synthetic in all ways except maybe durability.

Hey it's an underlayer, how durable do you need.

Wool is the way to go!
I love this shirt. Very odor resistant, wore mine for three days straight with no smell. To me anyway. Excellent at temperature regulation. So far durability is not an issue. Seems very well made. One small complaint, wish they made it in a tall for some longer sleeves. Shirt is a bit pricy but easy enough to find for a good price on sale.
