This pack is a lighter weight, more streamlined version of the Alpineguide. Great for extended backpacking trips where every gram counts!

Features Serratus’s unique lightweight custom-extruded stay bars for added strength without weight. Note: the Superlite does not have a side access zipper or convertible lid (waist pack). Pack fabric is robust high-tenacity 270g 420-denier nylon. Pre-curved shoulder straps and hipbelt.High-density polyethylene stiffens hipbelt without compromising comfort. Cordura® reinforced crampon patch and pack bottom. Scallop-shaped compression straps. Spindrift collar adds up to 20L of pack capacity, and stows out of the way with Velcro® tabs when not needed.

Floating top lid has a key clip and map pocket. Side mesh pockets provide extra storage. Twin ice-axe head loops and Velcro® shaft holders. Crampon attachment straps Optional side pockets available for increased storage capacity.

My favorite pack for the value. This no-frills pack is for you if you are looking to have a go at a Cascade Volcanoe or Alps 4000er (if bivying outside - not hut), a multiday tromp through the 3000ers, or a 2 week backpacking trip.

The axe holders and crampon attachment keep your gear secure and the compression straps are wisely placed but not overdone. Also, you can easily and securely store snow pickets and/or trekking poles in the outer side pouches and straps.

This pack fits taller people quite well (I'm 6'2") and the hip belt adjusts to a good non-wobble fit.

The main compartment is spacious and simple: a big bag which is light in weight and light on your wallet.
