Product Description

The Turbo Express is Black Diamonds fastest placing screw

In desperate situations, every second counts.
Quick to bite and easy to crank in, the Express screw features a foldable speed-drive knob that is color-coded for quick length identification and offers uninterrupted 360° motion.
The Turbo Express is built in five lengths because sometimes it’s thin and other times you have to drill deep for the solid ice.
The 13 – 22 cm screws are CE-certified, 10 cm is not. Patented (pg. 56).

Easy to use
Very easy to place and very sharp. I like these screws

Still my favorite
What I like best about these screws is their ease of placement. They start easily and go in fast. They also rack well. I'm of mixed opinion on the folding handle. Sometimes they fold up on me while I'm trying the screw them in, but I like the way they fold out of the way while racking. One less thing for slings, etc. to snag on.

Hand downs the best...
really sharp teeth and quick placement, I like these far better than the Helix or 360 by Grivel or the Petzl screws. Not as bulky either and easy to rack. Great ice pro, BD has done it once again!

GOOD screw
Good screw that stays sharp for a long time. After many seasons my screws are still shiny. Dry'm off after climbing so rust gets no change.
The handle is great. Don't buy screws without them. Altough ini hard ice they can be a bit small to handle with thick gloves on.

Superb product!

Second Place
These are great screws and as everyone points out, they rack really well.

Given a choice I would take the Grivel 360 everytime. They are significantly more versatile and efficient than any other screw including Grivel's Helix.

The BD Turbo Express is a great screw and I keep 2 in shorties as the 360 is too hard to start in the shorter sizes. Beyond that it is the 360 everytime.

excellent!
i couldn't ask for a better screw! the teeth are razor sharp and bit into even hard i've with ease. in the end, everyone is going to claim one screw is better than the other for various reasons. i prefer these over grivel screws as they rack easier... but other than that, both are extremely good!
