The good things...

The RPM is wonderfully lightweight, near waterproof and very versatile. It was designed with long days of heavy movement in mind, from scrambling to ice to decent size summit days and proves to be comfortable on a 16 hour day.

It is made from long lasting fabrics, it is compressible, sturdy and easy to adjust. It's size and shape allow it remain out of the way even in the vertical world. The RPM hugs the torso well and feels secure.
It is hydration ready and allows safe and separate, easy storage of goggles, ipods and keys.
It is cheap and warrantied well.

The not so good things...

The lack of a frame, while saving weight, can add to a "duffle" feeling if the load is heavy or small and dense, causing the bag to be pulled downward over your buttocks, i.e. crampons and a water bottle.
The wast belt is really a strap and will only hold the pack to your torso it serves no purpose in load bearing.
The exterior straps are nylon and are strong but don't stretch so fitting axes and whatnot can be a pain. The water bottle pocket is non-stretchable nylon as well and affords the very same trouble.
The main zipper can get a bit cranky with fabric wear.

That said, i would still buy the pack again and it still ends up as my choice summit pack for 6,000 meter peaks
