Features
Nanosphere
A new textile developed by schoeller® on the basis of nanotechnology. Effortlessly resists water, particles of dirt and even oily and greasy substances. The NanoSphere® technology makes use of a natural phenomenon which keeps certain plant leaves, insect wings or beetle shells clean, because dirt and water cannot stick to their structure surfaces. A similar structure is created using nano-technology. Textile surfaces with the NanoSphere® finish achieve outstanding runoff values for wetness, dirt and spots, without a loss of breathability. This also makes the fabrics extremely easy to clean. Products that use this technology are more robust and durable and yet retain a very natural grip and appearance. The combination of the unique schoeller®-dryskin extreme and NanoSphere® makes the robust fabric especially water and dirt repellent and is ideal for mountain sports activities.
schoeller® WB-formula
The benefits of the proven schoeller® stretch quality together with a watertight and breathable laminate are the idea preconditions for a great ski touring pants. Tried and tested for years. Composition: 73% Polyamide, 22% Polyurethane, 5% Elasthan.

Sweet Jacket! Mammut keeps paving the way...How awesome is that? Even if this jacket doesn't perform 100% of what it claims, the idea behind it deserves 5 stars. I expect other companies to copy and improve upon this idea in the years to come. Mammut will certainly improve upon it and I look forward to seeing more of these type of jackets in the future.
My only complaint is that this is pretty heavy for a softshell hybrid and may be best suited for trips where packability and weight aren't an issue.
At a price tag of $449 what more can you ask for. I'm currently on the waiting list for one and I've noticed the few USA websites selling these have them on back order. Even if you don't plan on buying this jacket, I recommend at least you try it on.
