Voted 5/5 | The Alpine Jacket from TNF Summit Series is the best shell jacket that I've ever owned. I purchased it in 2001 and have worn it on virtually every mountaineering trip since, including trips to the Rockies, Sierra, Cascades, Andes and on Kilimanjaro. It's an outstanding Gore-Tex shell jacket made of the finest quality. The adjustments for the hood, waste, cuffs and vents allow you to be comfortable in just about any situation. If this jacket ever wears out, there's no doubt that I will buy another one. | | Posted Jan 25, 2007 4:28 am | | packet | 5 stars
Voted 5/5 | This one jacket is what keeps me faithful that TNF doesn't completely suck these days. It's durable and near waterproof. The nice touches like the pull tabs on the zippers and core vents are excellent. The hood could use a bit of reworking but otherwise it's an excellent jacket. For the price you could probably get something from Marmot, Mountain Hardwear, or any of the other competitors that's of equal quality, but if you're looking for TNF, this thing is bomber. I'm even wearing it in my profile pic. | | Posted Jan 25, 2007 7:44 pm | | BSPclimber | quality jacket
