Mammut X-Zoom
This lamp is incredibly powerful for the weight. It's easy to use, has an effective flood option for use close-up, and can save a lot of routefinding effort in the dark. While there are plenty of lamps that will shoot a decent beam, having those extra meters of range can make a significant difference. It's simply an excellent alpine headlamp.

pros: very powerful, the red LEDs on the back make you very visible in low visability situations and doubles as a battery meter. the zoom feature works better than i thought and is very convenient to use.

cons: the lamp portion is a thin plastic and a friend of mine cracked the hinge for the spotlight when he dropped it while running.

overall this lamp is awesome. the price may be a little high in my opinion, but the lamp delivers where it should. good product
