Route Description

This route follows the crest of the cliffs along the river and leads to the two best vistas in the park being Hawk Point and Wissler's Run Overlook. The trail is only 0.55 miles in length, but when done with the Rhododendron Trail it provides a wonderful short hike with excellent views. Along the trail you'll find many clues to this areas volcanic past in the form of Olivine and Quartz crystal. This is an excellent short little hike.

Essential Gear

Comfortable hiking shoes and water.

Miscellaneous Info

If you have information about this route that doesn't pertain to any of the other sections, please add it here.

"There have been joys too great to be described in words, and there have been griefs upon which I have dared not to dwell, and with these in mind I must say, climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are naught without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.
