One of my most favorite places in the world has made it to SP. I've been going to Arches for years and know it like the back of my hand. Thanks, Radek, for a STUNNING page and a great route submission, too.
You're getting closer to Colorado all if the time....getting scary!
We'll be in Utah at Capitol Reef in April if you want to meet up...
Thank you very much for the kind remarks, the good vote and your help with the photo captions (I rely heavily on SP experts to fill in the blanks in my shots many a time....Mr. Paul Klenke in PNW; yourself in CO and UT :)

We'd love to meet up with you for a climb or even some beers/food but I don't think we'll be heading out anywhere far during April to mid-May. We've signed up for this snow/ice climbing course first half of which runs over April/May weekends. On the flip side, ever thought of passing by OR/WA for some climbing?
Radek-It was my hope to get to Washington this year to hike in the Enchantments. It's not looking too likely now. I still hope to do an extended weekend flight to Oregon and climb Mt. Thielsen, but fares, failing airlines, fuel prices and Ellen's f**ked up work and vacation schedule might zap that, too. I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorry to hear about Ellen's work - Shirley's got a pretty screwed up vacation time amount also though she's trying to work out some sort of "comp time" option with her boss this year.....we'll see how that works in practice. We've done Thielsen last summer and it's an AWSOME day climb (in and out in time to get beers and food at a reasonable hour afterwards :) . I'm not sure if I can talk Shirley into repeating Thielsen but IF you have a full weekend, maybe you could sqeeze in one more volcano? Have you done or thought of doing Three Fingered Jack (2 hours north of Thielsen)? It's a nice volcano (Mr. Brian Jenkins is the SP expert on it :) with a short, exposed scramble portion near the top. Also done car to car in a day (reasonable day)....
I know we still have a couple of months till summer (though it doesn't hurt to daydream about it already IMHO :) so we can decide on what/when exactly closer to "d-day". Keep us posted if you're coming.
Take care Aaron & talk to you later.
Radek
PS feel free to email me at the yahoo account (I'll send you my work email from there...that one I check more often )

Nicer climbing than the appearance of the rock would lead you to believe :)

Untitled CommentThis page is terrible. The pictures are too good, the information is too informative and Klenke is babbling on in German on his vote.

Untitled CommentI believe that is from the Bonn-area dialect and it means "All Hail Jenkins."
Thanks, buddy!
