Why not highlight an area that does not get much attention here on SP. The page is good and the Pecos is a classic.

Maybe some of the work by nader on the mountains and ranges of Iran deserve to be highlighted?

E.g. this page features hand made maps and lots of information that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. The page has links to other SP pages about the summits as well (by the same author). Like somebody pointed out in the comments section: a gold-mine if you're planning a trip there! This is what SP is all about, and surely it deserves some extra attention!

Nice submission earlier this month from a new member: http://www.summitpost.org/mountain/rock/421660/Mount-Hillers-UT-.html.

This page was all but empty until Arthur Digbee took it over this summer, and I think it's a great example of a "rescued" page: http://www.summitpost.org/area/range/170951/gallatin-range.html.

I second that.

Bubba Seuss & RickB: Thanks for the fine tips! I posted your suggestions. Nader, whom I have had the pleasure of meeting personally, has always been a stellar SP contributor, and his work in Iran is exclusive to SP, so we're very lucky indeed!

Bob and Vancouver: I've notified Vid of your suggestions, and we'll get them posted later in the week after the pages currently posted get some exposure.

Our SPer in China, Kenzo, has added a special article section to the Four Girls page which he alerted me to and might be of interest to SP folks around the world. His page is on the front page of SP.

Please forgive the language inconsistences, for obvious reasons, but it's worthy stuff.

Thanks for the props, Lolli! 8) Much appreciated!
I'm working on an Area/Range page for the Bookcliffs in NE Utah right now. Time consuming though.

I'd agree that the Ruby Mountain (Co.) page & Gallatin Range pages are exceptional.

Another page I think merits some attention:
Point 9125 (North Boulder Peak)

This outstanding TR on an ascent of the Matterhorn:

http://www.summitpost.org/trip-report/4 ... rhorn.html

Has been pushed prematurely off the "what's new" page by an obviously incomplete and multiply entered Mt Waas TR. http://www.summitpost.org/trip-report/4 ... -waas.html

I hope that the powers that be will select mvs' excellent report for the next "featured" selection, thereby affording it the exposure that it deserves.

Since BigLee and Nanuls adopted the Ben, it has shaped up like a true gem... Definitely worth a front page notice in my opinion...

Agreed! The Mesa Verde page is nice too. Previous submission were pretty bad and we had to zap them. Finally, we have a great page for both of these wonderful spots.

This page is on a great climbing area, with great information and good pics. Besides, Arizona doesn't get a lot of love with the featured pages!
