It happened at the South Lake TH on Aug 12. Some of The SC folks were sleeping there when a handful of ruffians showed up yelling and screaming and threatening to tow all the cars away. Then they looked for the "gayest" vehicle and took a shit on the window. I heard about it the next morning. Must not be enough things on the East Side to keep the kids entertained.

so who's the winner with the "gayest" car?

It was the guy with the most eco stickers on his sub-compact car.

Damn!

Those kids must of had a hell of a time trying to figure out which one needed the most shitting on.

Your description Bob, covers 90%+ of most vehicles parked at any Eastside T/H!

I'm pretty sure that trucks, SUVs, and Suburus dominate - by far.

Some punks tried that shit on Norman Clyde, playing pranks, and he fired some warning shots over their head. If you did that today you'd go straight to the greybar hotel.

Some father (I read about this a few days ago) in FLorida boarded a school bus and told some punks to leave his daughter alone while riding to/from school (they were putting condoms on her head and hitting her, twisting her ear, etc). Anyhow, he went to jail.

Todays punks are untouchable and they know it. If you try to apprehend them they'll get you for assault or false imprisonment, or their parents will. Bully punks' parents ALWAYS stick up for their kids.

Norm almost went to jail himself over that and it cost him his career. But were it not for that, his climbing resume might have been a good deal shorter, quien sabe!?

Yes, you are correct. But I suspect the penalty today would be much more severe. For example, Norman was still allowed to own guns, as he always had one in his 150 lb. Pack! Today they'd yank your gun priviledges, and probably send you away for a long time.

Really, the only way to deal with such assholes is to confront them AND WAIT FOR THEM TO ATTEMPT THROW THE FIRST PUNCH, and you'd better have witnesses, then let them have it. And then expect to still go to jail, court, etc.

The only incident I ever had was some fellow was criticizing me at South Lake many years ago for my axe, he said it was too long, and was ragging on me, I could not figure out why as I never said a word to him. Anyhow, he would not shut up, and I was packing my shit for a trip, so, I got right in his face and said to shut his trap, and by god he did. But I was young and strong back then so I wasn't too concerned. Today I'd probably just hit the "delete my shit" button and cower away (you could only hope  ).

So do you carry a tow strap now? Or switch to 4x4?

hey RAG MAN, your not being honest again. or you don't know how to read. i have a healthy amount of fear, i just don't like to let it run my life.

oh, and RAG MAN, you need a cleaning. you're getting all yucky, someone needs to flush you and refresh.

never have problems at trailheads either. but, my guns are always close by. wanna come and check?

and RAG MAN, i've seen your house, it aint much and is nothing special. kinda like a slum in the middle of pretty. dang close to a main highway too. much closer than i would ever want. but you enjoy it, so that is good. those huge, over-priced houses are cool though. get a few more in the area and it will really look like yuppyville, USA.
