In the last couple of aerial photos, I see you ignore them, as I also do, when they say to shut off all electronic devices ("anything with an on/off switch, bla bla bla . . .") when below 10000(?) feet. Typical brain-dead FAA blanket rule.

Sweet shot of the Panamints. I recognized that one right away. Telescope has its own signature appearance.

The Mono Lake shorelines are really cool too.

Some times I turn off my radio-frequency jammer, but that's about it.

On the LV to Sac flight, it looks like sitting on the left side give the best views of DV, Sierra, etc

Is it possible to blow the one of the Mammoth lakes area up? I'm having a little hard time seeing the ski area, and, just read a blurb about the "break in the chain occurring in the Mammoth area," that you also mentioned. Specifiacally, is that break near the northern end of the San Juaquin ridge? I think I see the break. . .

Which valley? There is an 80" base in Lee Canyon, but the town has just has a few sprinkles. Pahrump was covered with white stuff a day or two ago.

The OP says that it was "snowing all the way down to the valley base" when flying out of Las Vegas. I interpret this to mean that it was snowing at the airport. I can't believe that there's much snow hanging around in RR, but maybe I'm wrong?

Yesterday (Tuesday), Red Rock got some snow on the ground, and I think the western (higher) parts of Vegas Valley got some as well. The Red Rock scenic loop drive is between 3600 and 4800 feet, and the west part of Vegas Valley (developed area) is over 3000 feet. DMT's plane flew over the west side of the valley upon departure.

Here in more pleasant Henderson, where I live, we had graupel followed by rain. I'm at 2100 feet here, far away from all the Scummerlin snow and yuppies.

The news showed that Pahrump Valley (next one over to the west) got snow on the ground, and Pahrump is only at 2700-ish.
