They probably left you in the rotor wash so they could make a groping attempt on Charity.

When will it be Mrchad9s time in the lime light on Shasta?

Mrchad9 vanished on Mt Shasta.

Hoping this weekend to go for 30th and last route left. We will see how it goes. Or maybe a rock will smash me and clmbr will carry my corpse out. Main thing I lack is a helicopter ride out so I might try that.

30 routes? You have climbed Shasta more than that haven't you?

Is every route skiable?

Which is good because clmbr does not carry corpses but always calls for a helicopter. :) Unfortunately, even then a helicopter has a difficult time to locate clmbr with his finding. Nothing is guaranteed. :o

“...It’s not the route; it’s the conditions.”

So Yes and No.

Just curious, has any of the donated close been returned to Marek? Or at least has there been any word from Charity Stevens?

Yes, they returned my all layers. I had no doubt about that at any point. Heather, Charity’s hiking companion, had my phone number and she called me the next morning.

The report is coming shortly.

You could ski at least most of every route, but some routes only in mid winter to hold enough snow though then potentially avalanche risk in some areas, and there would be portions you can't ski... like the rock bands on Sargents Ridge.

Do you have any pictures of big avalanches on Mt Shasta?

No. There aren't any... or many. Mostly all I see is little slides. I suppose there is some stuff in February sometimes but never seen it.

All I have seen is some significant rockfall. Once saw a SUV sized bolder hopping down the north side... missed me by 150 feet or so but within 60-70 feet of one of our group.
