In Dolomites with tent?

by snooper » Fri Apr 25, 2008 1:37 am

Hello,
I'm planing a photo-trip in Italian Dolomites this summer - sometimes you like some place to stay and wait for the best light few days, but there is no camping or a hut and I have to use my tent. So, I've heard, that it's not allowed to use a tent in a lot of parts of Dolomites and that's a bad news to me...

Where I can check in which area is allowed or prohibited to use a tent in Dolomites?

Thanks in advance!

There's Camping Rocchetta in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

In the Dolomiti camping on your own it's not allowed, although in many places there's people that spend the night in tents. But in the early morning is better to leave or the rangers can find you and you'll have to pay a fine.
