Mammut Boot Sizing

by AsianBigfoot2 » Fri Apr 09, 2010 4:45 am

Are Mammut boots as wide or wider than Scarpa mountaineering boots?

I own a pair of Scarpa Summit GTX and am looking at maybe getting a pair of Mammut Meridian GTX.

Mammut are the new Raichle - which are moderate width and very low volume. I'm not sure if Mammut has increased the sizing or not.

I wonder if a Mammut UK 13 is going to feel similar to my Scarpa Inverno UK 13: Not only narrow in the ball of the foot area, but also in the ankle area.

i just got my pair of mt cascades in a us 13. i am a 13 street shoe with my right foot being a little bigger than my left and about a c-d width and they feel pretty good. bare foot with toes all the way to the front i have a little more than a fingers worth of space behind my heel. i havent hiked in them yet but i have walked around my house in them and so far so good.

I have a pair of the older Raichle All Degree Lites (now Mammut Monolith) and had to go up a half size. Normally an 11 in street and everything else and have a 11.5 in the boot.
