Aside from the actual kidnapping, most of the offenses occurred in the CA Delta town where it happened. Parents with close watch on their kids would be immune from this sort of attack.
btw, my info comes from 40 year residents, as I have also been visiting the Lake for some near 55 years. Nothing compared to the CV, though.

wow, with all the fire danger, kidnapping, drugs, and crime - watch out! Afghanistan sounds like a safer bet at this point. C'mon!!! Johney Raincloud!!
