Southern 6ers / Southeast Sixers

by Kaleidoscopic » Fri May 20, 2011 5:02 am

Can someone point me to a list of all the mountain peaks over 6,000 ft. in the Southeast?
Thanks,
Michael

Just use the Search function for Southern Sixers. Bob Smith has a nice page put together for this!

There's also this site: http://www.carolinamtnclub.com/SB6K/SB6K%20Index.html.
And Ron Tagliapietra's book on the southern sixers is available from Ron (he's available on facebook).

You can get the list on the left side of this page, pull up a map showing the location of all the peaks with the link on the left side of the page, see notes for the list with the link at the top, and you can also log your progress here.

Thanks for all the great tips and information on the Southern 6ers!

I'm planning a trip to Sam Knob in Pisgah, NC with some friends that will take place mid-summer. Can someone tell me if there is a water source at Sam Knob and if so, any tips on locating the water source?
