Free Books

by mconnell » Mon Nov 04, 2013 2:33 am

Posting this here instead of in classified since I'm not dealing with shipping these.

If anybody is interested in the following books, they are yours for free as long as you take them all and you can pick them up in Divide or my work in downtown Colorado Springs. If nobody claims them soon, it's off to the recycle bin.

American Alpine Journal 2000-2007
ANAM 2000-2007 (missing one)
Denali Climbing Guide - Secor
Rainier: A climbing Guide - Gauthier
Ecuador: A Climbing Guide - Brain
Alaska: A Climbing Guide - Woods/Coombs
Denali's West Buttress - Coombs
The Andes: A Guide For Climbers - Biggar
Cascade Alpine Guide, Vol 1, 3rd Ed. - Beckey
The High Sierra, 2nd Ed - Secor
Climbing Ice - Chouinard
Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue - Selters
Ice World - Lowe
Ice and Mixed Climbing - Gadd
Alpine Climbing - Houston/Cosley
Training For Climbing - Horst
Freedom of the Hills, 6th Ed
Extreme Alpinism - Twight
Climbing California's Fourteeners - Porcella/Burns

Screw the recycle bin I'll take them all if I send you a check for the cost of shipping. I can't get to Colorado Springs anytime soon but I will mail you a check for the shipping cost if you are ok with that.

I have most of those books and can't pick them up, but would suggest the library, used book store, or second hand store rather than the recycle bin. I don't know how the library is where you live, but where I live at least, they are always happy to get used, good condition books.

Most, the library here won't take because they are "outdated" and "too specialized." I recycled a stack of computer books already since the library wouldn't take them. I just didn't want to trash the climbing books.

Matt, if you change your mind please let me know: although I have some of these I'd definitely take them all (and give doubles to those who could use them).

Glad these are going to a good home!

Woodie
