Acclimatization for Khan Tengri

by sbr » Tue Dec 10, 2013 3:00 pm

Hello,

I'm looking for possible acclimatization peaks before attempting Khan Tengri.
Current options I found would be Ala Archa, Karakol Peak, Karly Tau and Bayankol Peak.
However, except for Ala Archa it seems to be very difficult to find some good information?

Any suggestions or information about these peaks?

Thanks.

No info on the peaks you requested to use for acclimatization. Have you given thoughts to attempting Pik Lenin and use that to acclimatize for Khan Tengri? There's no permit for the peak, easy climbing, low objective dangers, and transportation to BC is very reasonable. You not only do you get on another 7,000m peak but also check out a different part of Kyrgyzstan. Send me an email if you have questions about logistics. Good luck.
