Heres some videos of me playing in Crowd Deterrent. cd release show for our split with Creepout from japan. Taken in Cleveland, a lot of friends traveled from all over to it. They've ben around since 97. I've been in them for a few years. they wanna tour japan again and germany but i won't have the money probaly to go out. in these first few videos i'm playing bass with a NC b-ball jersey. Yes that is a real metal garbage can stolen off a street in youngstown and those are full tall cans getting thrown at folks

next song to live and die. we butchered the beginning. i made up with some bass stage dives in the middle

last song of that show. during the breakdown i start bass moshing and i broke a tuning knob off on one of my friends

I was thinking this has kind of a sepultura sound, then I noticed it looks like the one guy is wearing a roots t-shirt.

It's the vegans that don't eat meat. Only one guy in the band isn't straight edge. That band from from Germany in blood we trust just became part of there crew so they wanna go out there bad. Our most recent show I was the 2nd singer for that live for revenge song. I'm trying to start a Cro-mags style band called Climb on!

You know, it surprises me that kids are still doing the hardcore punk thing twenty five years after the "movement" pretty much died. It seems like sort of a suburban rite of passage now.

But I'm glad to see the idea of straight edge is still around.

When I was in college, all the straight-edge kids smoked cigarettes. Is that still allowed?

The scene has it's high's and low's every few years. Dies and comes back. I love cuz of some Vegan kids out west that straight edge makes you a gang banger in salt lake city and Reno. Plus we're banned from the Olympics.

I guess it's the price you pay for getting involved in the politics of group identity. Blame whoever coined the term "straight edge".

But what about the cigarettes?! I need to know.

I'm not sure I would worry about it much .. IMO it's just another thing that angst-ridden insecure teenagers and young adults do while trying to figure out their identities.

And then there are the things that angst-ridden and insecure middle-aged adults do while trying to figure out their identities ..

Damn minor threat for creating the name. Those edge kids that smoke are sellouts. I know to many people who broke edge. I've been claimed 7 years. Always been clean before that. Shit is easy for me. To many edge tats to break now. Straight edge life style is only a small part of the culture. Lots of drunks also0in the hxc scene still to. I'm surprised there is a decent amount of people on here who knew about the ways. I thought it was cool mark twight listened to 80's punk. I didn't think there was more.

Those edge breakers were probably Libs too. ;)
