Pink Mountain-laurel
Pink Mountain-laurel in full bloom on the slopes of Mt Frissell. Pink Mountain-laurel is the common name of Kalmia rubra, a flowering shrub of the family Ericaceae. Mountain-laurel is the state flower of Connecticut, shown here appropriately enough on the state highpoint. Photo taken June 19, 2005.
